LAS VEGAS -- The Seattle Seahawks became the 7-2 Super Bowl favorite at the Westgate SuperBook after their 26-20 overtime win over the Denver Broncos in Week 3, but the two teams remained tied for the top spot in the NFL Vegas Rankings.

The Seahawks, who closed as a 4.5-point home favorite in the Super Bowl rematch, were dominating 17-3 in the fourth quarter when Peyton Manning & Co. rallied to force overtime. Russell Wilson drove the defending champs to a touchdown on the opening drive of the extra session to get Seattle backers the point-spread cover, but our panel of ESPN Insider handicappers -- Sal Selvaggio of madduxsports.com, Erin Rynning of sportsmemo.com and yours truly -- saw that it could have gone either way and our composite power ratings bumped up both teams by a half point to keep them even at the top of the rankings.

"That was a high-level football game," Selvaggio said. "Seattle and Denver clearly look like the class of the league."

How to read the ratings

The ratings are used to compare to the current point spread after adjusting for home-field advantage. The industry standard is 2.5 points for home field, but teams such as the Packers, Patriots and 49ers are typically given a full field goal while the Broncos and Saints are closer to 3.5. The Seahawks are often given 4 or 4.5 points, which puts our bettors' power ratings right where the Seahawks-Broncos line closed as we had them as a pick 'em on a neutral field.

Below is a look at the power ratings for all 32 NFL teams, along with Week 4 games in which there appears to be value in the current lines. (Note: These plays went 2-1 ATS each of the last two weeks, so hopefully that continues.) Again, these are not my personal plays or of any of the other handicappers but rather the group as a whole. I will post my thoughts in the Tuley's Take column Friday.

In the end, the Seahawks were lucky to cover in their big victory over the Broncos, but they move up a half point.
